Thing 16 - Wiki

I like the PW and St. Joseph's County wikis, nice ways to get more information out there to their communities. One question I have is who is responsible for these, do they have staff dedicated to such projects? Also, do they have constraints due to being part of a local government system?

Re: Icebergs - the "just in case collection" - this one seems most appropriate right now in LCPL, as we are continuing heavy weeding in all collections. Trimming the Reference collection was quite the exercise, and it was time to do so. As I keep workin on the adult NF and Fiction, it's great to have some open shelves in anticipation of new books, not to mention making it easier for the Pages to shelve.
Just last night I helped a patron download an Eaudiobook, which she is enjoying while she recovers from surgery. It's really a good feeling to know that patrons have new ways to use our materials, even when they cannot come to our buildings.
